On May 10, the Downing PTA hosted their annual VIP Tea party and gave our students the opportunity to show their appreciation to all the amazing parents and caregivers!

Each grade performed a song for their special guests and presented them with handmade gifts. Everyone enjoyed treats served with a smile by our incredible PTA members!

We did it! Malverne has been named one of America’s Best Communities for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation. 2024 marks the twelfth year that the district has been honored with this prestigious distinction.

The Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding commitment and achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students.

We are proud of our teachers, administrators and community members who make our music programs possible and of our students who work hard every day to hone their talents and fill the air with their amazing music.

On April 8, solar eclipse mania took over Malverne as students celebrated the once in a generation learning experience with plenty of fun activities, eclipse-themed snacks and a chance to view this amazing solar spectacle safely with friends.
