Malverne Union Free School District congratulates the twenty-five high school students who have been awarded academic honors from the College Board National Recognition Programs.
To earn these awards, the students excelled in College Board assessments and schoolwork, including a GPA of at least a B+ or 87%-89%, PSAT/NMSQT assessment scores within the top 10% of test takers in New York State and a 3 or higher on two or more AP exams by the end of tenth grade.
For the first time, students have been selected for a series of the First-Generation Programs. This new recognition offers opportunities to students from households where one or both parents do not have a bachelor's degree.
These awards are recognized by colleges and universities across the country that are committed to elevating all students, especially those who are historically underrepresented on college campuses.
