At Downing, our work in alignment to the district’s Portrait of a Graduate is shining brightly to start the year.
We will be focusing our attention on learning more about one attribute per month inside the classroom. Students will be at the center of this initiative and learn to showcase the skills represented within the Portrait as Downing students inside and outside of the classroom. Bulletin boards that showcase authentic student work are being designed and a new “Portrait of Success” award ceremony is being combined with our “We CAN” awards and students will be celebrated each month. We look forward to the work ahead!
