The district congratulates MHS junior Zamari Paul on being selected for the Honor Choir at the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) National Conference.
The ACDA conference is one of the most prestigious national choral conferences in the world and brings together the most talented student choral singers in the country to perform under the direction of nationally recognized conductors.
Thousands of student musicians apply for this honor and only a few hundred are accepted. The audition process included two 30-second recorded a capella performances and singing both ascending and descending major scales, all which are reviewed by leading music educators.
As part of the Honor Choir mixed choir, Zamari will have the opportunity to sing under the direction of conductor, composer, educator and four-time Grammy Music Educator of the Year finalist Mr. Chris Maunu.
The ACDA National Conference will take place in Dallas, TX from March 18-22, 2025.
