On Nov. 22, Maurice W. Downing Primary School was proud to honor our K-2 students for Participation and Collaboration during our "We Can" and "Portrait of Success" Awards Ceremony!
Our "We Can" award winners were selected by their teachers for their exceptional work over the past month, including working hard on academics, being helpful and exhibiting kindness towards others.
This month's "Portrait of Success" honorees were selected for their commitment to the qualities of Participation and Collaboration, in alignment with the district's Portrait of a Graduate.
Before the ceremony, we were treated to a performance by the second graders who performed "Conga" by Gloria Estefan, including solo performances and dance moves!
Congratulations to all our honorees and thank you to the teachers, parents and staff who are helping to guide our students through their exciting educational journey.
