Malverne School District Welcomes New Educators for 2026-27 School Year

On August 25, Malverne School District officially welcomed new educators to the district family during its annual New Teacher Orientation.
The orientation day featured a series of workshops designed to immerse the new faculty members in Malverne’s mission, core values and educational philosophy. Throughout the sessions, educators received guidance on districtwide practices, key academic initiatives, curriculum structures and classroom expectations aimed at fostering high academic achievement and student support.
As part of the day's program, incoming teachers engaged directly with district administrators and directors, including Superintendent of Schools Dr. Maria Rianna and Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services Dr. Vincent Romano. Participants also took a guided school bus tour highlighting district facilities and campus buildings. Additionally, new team members met with student leadership representatives who shared firsthand insights on student life and classroom engagement within the district.
