🎶 Malverne Named One of the Best Communities for Music Education

Malverne School District is proud to announce its selection as one of the Best Communities for Music Education by The NAMM Foundation. This prestigious national distinction, now in its thirteenth year for the district, is awarded to schools that provide exceptional music access and high-quality instruction to all students.
The honor recognizes the collaborative efforts of teachers, administrators, parents and students who ensure that the arts remain a vital component of a well-rounded education. This milestone highlights Malverne’s long-standing tradition of excellence and its dedication to fostering a vibrant, creative learning culture.
"Music is part of the DNA of the Malverne School District," said Michael Messina, District Supervisor of Music and Fine Arts. "Earning this recognition year after year is a testament to the unwavering support of our community. From our elementary music programs, through our middle school ensembles, to the award-winning High School Select Choir and Pride of Malverne Marching Band, we strive to provide a space where every child can find their voice and flourish through creative expression."
This year’s recognition follows a standout season for the music department, including spectacular performances of Beetlejuice Jr., Chicago: Teen Edition, and the upcoming Annie Kids, as well as continued success from various choral, string and instrumental ensembles.
Research consistently shows that participation in music programs leads to higher academic achievement, improved social-emotional skills and increased student engagement. In Malverne, this tradition ensures these benefits are accessible to every child, from their first notes in kindergarten through their final high school performances.
The district applauds its dedicated music faculty, talented students, engaged parents and supportive Board of Education for sustaining this remarkable legacy of harmony and achievement.
